In education, recognizing achievements is as important as teaching. Celebrating effort, making progress visible, highlighting acquired competencies… All of this motivates, drives progress, and gives meaning to the path traveled. In an increasingly digital world, badges have become a powerful tool to do so.
The essence of digital credentials
Although they appear simple visually—a graphic with text—digital credentials represent certifications with real value. They validate competencies, knowledge, or milestones that have been verified by teaching staff through various instruments: applied exercises, personalized tracking, integrative projects, or practical experiences. Evaluation transcends conventional exam formats.
What’s truly noteworthy: they can be easily shared on professional platforms like LinkedIn, communities like Facebook, or spaces like X, becoming constitutive elements of the student’s digital curriculum.
A growing number of higher education institutions and learning environments recognize these credentials as valid proof of structured or self-directed learning, transforming them into a resource whose relevance extends far beyond the immediate educational environment.
One platform, multiple recognitions
Our platform allows you to create, award, and manage badges simply, without losing sight of the pedagogical intention they were designed with.
Let’s see how it works:
First, you need to verify that the section is active. Then, from the menu Contents > Badges > Add, you can create a new badge by defining:
- Name
- Brief description of the competency or achievement.
- Representative image
- Status (active or inactive)
- Type:
- Manual: Awarded one by one to those who deserve it.
- Course completion: Automatically assigned to those who pass.

This configuration can be done in just a few steps and allows you to adapt each badge to the approach of the course, project, or learning pathway.
Receiving and sharing
Participants who receive a badge will see it reflected in their profile, with the corresponding date.
Also, by clicking on the badge, they’ll access the descriptive text and options to share on social networks or professional platforms. This not only validates their learning, but also allows them to build a visible narrative of their achievements and strengthen their professional identity.
Beyond recognition
In a context where discussing competencies is increasingly relevant, digital badges are a concrete, visual, and meaningful way to make learning visible. It’s not about collecting stickers, but about recognizing trajectories, valuing what sometimes remains invisible, and connecting learning with the real world.
