e-ducativa Open College is an integrated platform of services, totally conceived for Elementary Schools and high schools and actual educative projects with internet attendance in the classroom.

This solution focus especially in the introduction of the ICT (Information and Comunications Technology) in the classroom and in the traditional school, being able to improve the educative processes y fomenting the collaborative and cooperative learning, mediated by the net.

Open College groups all the schools in a network, where they share innovating resources that contribute to create and to stimulate a true virtual educative community.

It is based in a distributed architecture, which allows that the classrooms with computers of each school communicate with a local server, who can as well be interconnected with a number variable (and burglaryable) of servers who communicate for some services with centralized servers.

Basically this is made up of four elements
a virtual classrooms system
a weblogs manager
a group of complementary applications
and a complete manager of web contents

This allows that each educative center has got multiple privates spaces of formation (classrooms), at the same time that they manage of independent way their own web sites. All the educative centers are integrated under one third layer, allowing the communication between students and teachers of different centers, the accomplishment of colaboratives works, and the possibility of sharing educative resources between all the members of the educative community.

The adaptability of e-ducativa, the recognized quality of our product and our mark at international level, allows us to anticipate an important interest of different administrations by this open source solution, and we are working to put it to disposition of everybody.


Licensing
e-ducativa has developed all this system under the open source modality, and it puts to disposition of the educative authorities of the different provinces, regions and countries, also offering, like authors of this product, the service of adaptation, support and maintenance, in conditions that only e-ducativa can offer.

e-ducativa Open College will be available with GNU license in the second semester of 2008 or the first semester of 2009

Virtual Classrooms
The virtual classroom of e-ducativa is compatible with any kind of files and any educative material format, including Scorm 1.2.

Web sites for all the School network
The Web site of each one of the schools is managed by the own platform, that allows the creation of internal pages (publics and privates), the publication of banners, files, news, internal searcher, guestbook, statistics, and all the necessary for the effective management of a dynamic web site and adapted for the daily reality of an educative center.

Weblog
The weblog module offers a complete system of weblogs managagement for the center, being therefore an important tool for the day to day of the scholastic community and to stimulate the participation of each one of its members.

Integration
In software level, the integrating superior layer allows you by interval of a windows, you can visit all the schools of the system, and observe at instantaneous way their particular information, their last news published by the Center (RSS syndication), the last weglogs and, of course, to accede directly to the Web of the educative center.

Reusability
The system is able to manage the access to repositories of learning objects, making searches in the local repository of the center, or in the global repository of the system, by key words and by diverse methods, like category or type of file.

Accessibility
Each one of the e-dcuativa Open College modules fulfills the accessibility standards, being this a very carefully detail in the design of our interphase, and therefore, very valued by all the users.

Independent, unique, homogenous and decentralized administration
The menus and all the internal pages are managed of absolutely independent way by each one of the administrators of the educative centers, giving to place to the diversity of contents and structures, and independence for the management of the Web site.
The modules are integrated functionally as much in the view of user like in the one of administration, being totally configurables and personalizables. Even with differents modules, it management is homogenous by to have taken care of the design and the logic of the processes. All the management of each one of them is made in the same way, having the administrator the total control of the contents and the tools. This way, it is possible to delegate tasks in different people in charge for a partial administration.

In those modules that therefore demand it, the access to the administration functions, is made based on the own permissions of each one of the users.

Configurable Graphic Environment
The design, in colours and graphic, is totally integrated characterizing itself of individual way to each one of the educative centers, without losing the own general identity of all the platform.
