Like part of this plan, e-ducativa develops Helvia – a distribution of the e-ducativa product Open College – a platform able to integrate all the schools of a province, region or country, offering innovating resources that contribute to create and to stimulate a true virtual educative community.
The solution is based on a distributed architecture, in which each school has classrooms with computers for the students, who communicate with a local server, that is interconnected with a variable number (and burglaryable) of servers which they communicate for some services with centralized servers.
The Helvia project, in a few more years will integrate all the public schools of Andalucía and to the month of April of 2006 it is in phase of implantation in a dozen of Pilot centers, who (like all the Andalusian ICT Centers) come using the commercial version of e-ducativa for their projects.
The objective is to duplicate the ICT Centers every year, until arriving at 4000.
